We stumbled across the sign to this restaurant while wondering in Venice Giudecca. It is located on the back of a shipyard, on the first floor of a house overlooking a small marina, with wonderful views over the sea from its terrace area. Equally exceptional is the food which we savoured twice. Extremely well priced fresh seafood (when in season) and cooked to perfection. Attentive service too. Dinner starts at 7 pm and advance booking is recommended. Short walk from Vaporetto stop Redentore (line 1, San Marco Zaccaria).

We found this hidden place by coincidence and had a great night overall. The food was very good and the service was very friendly despite little English but they did their best. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. Outside as well as inside. Definitely recommended

We were wandering around in Guidecca (as you do when visiting a city), and while following our curiosity about a local art exhibition, we saw the signs for Ristorante Al Storico. We decided to check it out, and what followed was a very pleasant surprise. You have to climb steps to get to this place, so this might not be the most accessible place to eat. The lovely views overlook a boat yard and other islands in the city of Venice. They were almost closing their afternoon lunch service when we arrived but were fortunate to be seated. We opted to sit inside because of the cold weather. We had the BEST Tagliolini with Shrimps and Artichokes and the BEST Octopus Salad we have ever eaten! Flavours were simple but deep. Textures were tender yet well cooked. This was seafood done perfectly, using simple ingredients. The moral of the story is to follow your curiosity and your instinct when in Venice. You never know what surprising flavours you might find!

The fish pasta was great, creamy flavourful and al dente. Mussels also tasted really fresh. But the branzino was on the dry side
